DIRECT WELDABLE TYPE RADIATOR

DIRECT WELDABLE TYPE RADIATOR

The Direct Weldable Type Radiator is a robust and efficient cooling solution designed for power and distribution transformers. Unlike conventional bolted radiators, this type is directly welded to the transformer tank, ensuring a leak-proof joint and long-term durability. Direct Weldable Radiators are widely used in transformers where permanent and rigid cooling arrangements are required. They are best suited for heavy-duty operations and ensure trouble-free performance for years.

FLANGE TYPE RADIATOR

FLANGE TYPE RADIATOR

Flange type radiators are used in transformers to facilitate efficient cooling and ease of maintenance. These radiators are attached to the transformer tank using flanges and bolted connections, rather than being welded permanently. The primary reason for using flange type radiators is their modular design, which allows for easy removal, replacement , or expansion without disturbing the entire transformer structure. In the event of a radiator leak or damage. it can be isolated and repaired or replaced individually, minimising downtime and maintenance cost. Additionally, flange connections ensure a strong and leak-proof joint, which is essential for maintaining the insulating oil inside the transformer. This type of radiator also supports efficient heat dissipation by allowing natural or forced circulation of transformer oil. Overall, flange type radiators provide flexibility, reliability, and improved serviceability in transformer cooling systems.

OFF-CENTRE TYPE RADIATOR

OFF-CENTRE TYPE RADIATOR

Off-centre radiators are used in transformers in which installations with asymmetric space constraints or unique tank layouts where the standard centre-mounted design would not fit. This design provides a lateral outlet for the radiators header, allowing the unit to be positioned to the left or right to accommodate unique tank shapes or compact environments, thus enabling easier installation in specialised or customised spaces.

SWAN NECK / GOOSE NECK TYPE RADIATOR

SWAN NECK / GOOSE NECK TYPE RADIATOR

Swan neck or goose neck Radiators are used in Transformers to provide flexible connection points for dissipation due to spatial constraints or design requirements , enabling the radiators to be positioned in a more efficient manner on the transformer tank. The key advantage is the ability to offer increased surface area for cooling without interfering with other components or creating a bulky installation. ultimately enhancing the transformers loading capacity.

T- TYPE RADIATOR

T- TYPE RADIATOR

The T-type (flange type) Radiators are used in transformers to increase the surface area for cooling, allowing transformer oil to dissipate heat and maintain safe operating temperatures. This process prevents overheating, which degrades insulation and reduces the transformer lifespan and efficiency, ultimately improving its load capacity, reliability, and safety. The larger surface area of the radiators allows for more efficient heat transfer from the hot transformer oil to the surrounding air, thereby accelerating the cooling process.

*ADVANTAGE OF CORRUGATED WALL PANEL RADIATORS*
We strongly recommend to our valued customers to consider use of CWP Radiators. To facilitate our valued customers for evaluation we have obtained some data for your reference to support our recommendation. We hereby are enclosing the following:

-POTENTIAL FOR SAVING IN MATERIALS : Reduction > 30%
-REDUCTION IN THE WEIGHT OF THE RADIATORS : Reduction > 30%
-REDUCTION IN THE OVERALL DIMENSIONS OF THE TRANSFORMERS: About 50% volumetric reductions. Based on the above facts we affirmatively recommend use of CWP Radiators.

These CWP Radiators are widely used in many Western Countries. CWP Radiators are more Compact, Efficient and Economical. Besides this, these Radiators have many advantages such as less cost in Production, Maintenance, Operation and Failure due to the following:

Thermo Syphon power wastage is lower and the flow of oil does not become sluggish, hence, the efficiency of the Radiators is better. This, in the long term, improves the usable life of the Transformer and the maintenance cost would be lower.

The Transportation cost is lower due to reduction in weight and overall dimensions.

The requirement of space for installation of the Transformer is lower. This benefits for end users by way of savings due to reduced site infrastructure cost.

In CWP Radiators there is no circulation of oil through Tubes/Fins and therefore, there is no possibility of blockage due to formation of sludge.

In CWP Radiators, in case there is some leakage or pilferage of oil, the level oil may reduce but the Transformer will continue to operate with some increase in temperature. In the case of PSR or ERW Tube Radiators the circulation of Oil will completely stop and the Transformer will burn off.
